Sketchy Sunday

Boy, I do NOT want to do housework today.....so I won't!  YAY!!

Here is one I put together using some really old chipboard pieces from the stash and some pretty Crate Paper.

And this was using a sketch from Artful Delight:

And while I had the Crate Paper all over my desk, I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

and came up with this page:

I can't wait to get my new camera!  These pictures off of my phone are so yucky.

Oh well,...have a great day!!

My Scraps and More fun!

Happy Sunday!!

Today I wanted to share some fun I have been having over at My Scraps and More.
Every day a new challenge is posted and Fridays are always my favorite...it' sketch day!

Here is a challenge I had posted using a sketch from Nuts About Sketches

I love all the hexagons and after I found this sheet from My Mind's Eye, I got to fussy cutting and had some fun.

Next I had a chance to play with the papers that Tammi had sent the DT....Jillibean Soup!
This collection is called "Chilled Strawberry Soup".
My pictures FINALLY came in, so I had a chance to play with everything!

Here I fussy cut a bunch of strawberries, use a plaid border punch and added a bit of twine.

And here is the original sketch I used by Let's Capture These Sketches:

Next, I played with a sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

I fussy cut more strawberries and added a twine bow to each one.

And lastly, I fussy cut even MORE strawberries and added a ribbon bow to each one.
I also had a chance to using my new Glimmer Mist for the background.  :)

And this was inspired by a sketch from Creative Scrappers, which I flipped.

Have a great Sunday!  Stay cool!  It's going to be another scorcher!

Last ones for today

Not a bad day for scrapping!  I managed to finish up more than I thought.  Just in time to go back to work...sigh...

Here is my take on a fun sketch from Boys Rule Blog:

And here is the original sketch from Julie Bonner:

And here is me, relaxing the pool after a long day.  I had about 30 seconds in the pool before the kids jumped back in.

I have always loved how whimsical all the collections from Imaginisce are.  The bright colors and fun designs are so cool!
For this challenge from Imaginisce, we were to use the word "sun" or "a sun" on our project.  I used both.  :)

And I chose this sketch from Nuts About Sketches:

So now, I have to clean off the desk and get ready for work tomorrow.  :(

Have a great evening!

Playing with Sketches

What else is there to do on a day when it's too hot to go outside?

Here is my take on the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

Here is the original sketch:

I used lots of scraps of paper and broke out the flower punch and some brads.

Next, I played along with Frosted Designs.

I had a few sheets of Lily Bee papers from the Double Dutch collection, and came up with this fun page:

I'm using this for the manufacturer challenge at Paper Secrets.  :)

Have a great day!

Just a few reveals

Happy Sunday all!

I've been lucky enough to work on a few pages this past week and now I can finally reveal them all.

The design team at My Scraps and More were given some fun papers from Jillibean Soup to play with this month.  I was able to create these fun pages and still have lots of leftovers.  So I'm sure I will have more to reveal later on this week....as soon as my pictures are finally delivered.  :)

My first page was made with a sketch from Colorful Creations.  The twist was to use a swirl (I swirled some ribbon around a Gluber), leaves and something gold.  I found these fun gold swirl clips in the stash.

These papers from Jillibean are from the Sweet and Sour Soup collection,  LOVE these bright colors!

I tried a twist on a sketch from Paper Secrets.  When I found this journal card in the collection, I used up some smaller miscellaneous pictures to add to my "quilt".  I also added some fun twine in between the pictures using brads.

And here is more papers from Sweet and Sour Soup.  Love all the fun circles!  I popped them all apart and was surprised at how many there really were.  :)

And here is what I made for a color challenge that I posted in the My Scraps and More forums.  I love the fun watermelon palette...and my dd's favorite dress.  :)
I used sketch #215 from Creative Scrappers.

So, this week I managed to drown my waterproof camera....huh??  Yep, no idea what happened, but my dd took it into the pool (she loves her underwater pictures) and it fried.  I've had it for 3 years, so maybe it was a sign to get a new one.   So I'm off to go shopping today!  YAY!  Have a great day!!

Mid Week Mojo

Wow...here it is only Thursday and I am ready to post a couple of pages I finished!

The first was a beautiful sketch from C'est Magnifique:

...and boy, did I pull out some OLD papers for this one!  Even the seashell stickers have been around for Lord knows how long.  That was the best feeling in the world, to finally use them up.  The tulle flowers are some of the latest and greatest from Prima.  They are so pretty!!

My second page was for a challenge I did for My Scraps and More.  I chose to do a "stash" challenge and pull out lots of rick rack ribbon.  It's amazing how much I had and how much I was able to convince myself to use...lol.  Hoarding, yes, my name is Wendy.  :)

This page was also inspired by the July sketch from My Sketch World.

I'm so happy to have so many pretty things to play with....and many fun friends to challenge me!

Have a great Thursday!!!

2 more for today!!

YAY!  I found my mojo!!

Here is my page for the color challenge at My Scraps and More.  I used a Twisted Blueprints sketch from Colorful Creations.

And my second page was using the sketch from The Boys Rule Blog.

I think I might be able to squeeze just one more page in tonight...wish me luck!!!

Finally scrapping again!

It feels so good to be able to work at my scrap desk again!  Between working on the house, vacation and just catching up on stuff, I haven't touched anything.  I miss shopping and flipping through my pictures...

Speaking of pictures....8 days in Disney managed to produce hundreds of new pictures.  Not that that is a bad thing....I just have to sort through them all and decide what to print and scrap.

Anyway....

Here is a page I did for the Got Talent challenge #1 at My Scraps and More.  We were given a BINGO card and sketch to work with.

And I had a little bit of fun working on #18 for Let's Get Sketchy:

I'm loving this dragonfly accent piece!  I used some markers on it a little bit.

And because I loved these bright colors from this challenge at Color Me Scrappy:

I pulled out some fun pictures from our ferris wheel ride at Navy Pier and put this together:

Sooo...since laundry is done...I'm going to work on sneaking a new page or two today....shhh....
