Captain Hook

Still working with "Captain" and "pirate" photos - here is my page for Captain Hook:

I used plenty of pirate papers.  The banner was pieces from a patterned sheet that I cut out and added to a piece of jute.
All of the papers were distressed and inked.

Here is the sketch that got me started:

This is from Sketch N Scrap.  They had plenty of challenges this month!

Wild Ones

My hubby and daughter always love to take selfies together.  This is just one of the many they have taken at all the entrances to all the parks.

I used up lots of older BoBunny animal print papers to play along with the challenge from Scrap Our Stash.  I even added some animal print ribbons.

The sketch I used is from Sketch N Scrap:

Captain Jack

What a surprise we had coming around the corner in Adventureland and seeing Captain Jack training kids to be pirates.

This guy was really good!  And he looked soooo much like Johnny Depp!

This page was created using the Sketch N Scrap Birthday Sketch #1:

I used my distressing tool on all the papers and then inked all the edges.  I added scraps of burlap paper from the DCWV stack.  And then I added a brass Mickey head.  No idea where I got these from, but sometimes they are just the right addition to a page.

Best Train Ride EVER!

The Disney World train is the one thing that we MUST do every time we go to the park.

We usually spend the whole day in the park and then take the train all the way back to the front and catch the fireworks near the train station.

This sketch from Sketch N Scrap Birthday #3 was the starting point for my page:

And I was finally able to use this fun sticker that's been around forever.
The big red Mickey head is a paint chip that used to be available at Home Depot.  I still have quite a few of them stashed away.

Never enough Magic

One of the best things about Disney are the photographers!

Here we are AGAIN in front of the castle:

I am so in love with all the of Echo Park collections!  I would need at least 12 more trips to Disney before I would be able to use everything I bought!

Here is the 6th Birthday Bash sketch #2 from Sketch N Scrap that I used for my page:

On Our Way!!

I usually work on my scrapbooks in chronological order, but sometimes I have to do things when the inspiration hits.

Here are some fun pics of us on the plane ride to Disney.

I used up a few more scraps, and some red ribbon.
The 3D clouds are so cool!  I remember when I found them in the store, I bought like 5 packages of them!

My inspiration for this page was this fun sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

More Magic

Good morning!  I was up early today to finish up a page I started a few days ago.

I was taking notes on what I wanted to do to create this page while I had downtime at work.
I used distress inks on the background paper.
I also pulled out my Zutter Distress it All for all of the layered papers.  I haven't used that machine in forever!
The chipboard pieces are from Creative Embellishments.  I painted them all white, and then dabbed a little distress ink on them.
This paper was for the challenge at Creative Embellishments.  I love these chipboard pieces!
The twist to the challenge was to add a vintage piece.
Kinda hard to do when I have Disney pictures all over my desk.
But then I remembered I had these vintage Disney cartoon papers.
Not sure if that's what they meant by "vintage" lol...but it worked well for my page!
